Almost every drink wowed me and they seemed simple enough that I can make them on my own. PDT - I just went there last week for the first time in years and it’s still got it. We have four nights to work with starting that Monday then we fly home Friday afternoon. Where do two Renaissance faire theater fans go for a dramatic drink experience in the Big Apple? I am but a humble Army veteran and gubmint paper pusher, but will absolutely pay a bit more for a quality experience. There are so many options it's overwhelming, and I wanna get the most out of this PROBABLY once in a lifetime trip. So I'm looking for a unique cocktail bar to try out. One of my other hobbies is making really 'extra' craft cocktails, and I just love trying out what real pros can do. We are beyond excited, and honestly, this is the longest relationship I've ever had and he's my very best friend, so I want to make this anniversary as big a deal as it feels like. We actually plan to make extravagant Red Death Phantom and Christine Daae's costumes for Halloween next year, because we are amateur costumers and rennies. The tickets were his surprise Christmas present and I had to hand make some physical tickets for him to unwrap. He saw it years ago at the Detroit Opera, and fell in love. We are flying to NYC to see Phantom of the Opera on Broadway before it closes down (maybe forever!) because a musical is what brought us back together years ago, and the way he lights up talking about Phantom of the Opera melts my heart. So my partner and I are taking a big leap to do something we always talked about for our four year anniversary, which we celebrate on Valentine's Day. Story time, for those that will indulge me, because this whole thing is really sentimental and a big deal for me.
